Brainster Maths has 15 curriculum levels covering everything from foundational number sense and arithmetic to algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and pre-calculus. It includes thousands of word problems and is aligned to US and Canadian school curricula. You can check our curriculum here: Curriculum.

We advise that the student spends about 20-25 minutes on their homework each day. There are around 40 math problems that need to be worked on each day, so it’s like a daily brain workout.

Our curriculum emphasizes interactive problem-solving with continuous progress tracking. Progress is monitored on a weekly basis through assessments, with a level-end test administered after each level to evaluate overall learning.

Mathnasium requires in-centre attendance at $250–450 per month. Kumon uses centre-based self-paced worksheets with no live instruction. Brainster gives your child weekly tutor sessions online, at a fraction of the cost, with printed workbooks shipped to your door. Same rigour — far more flexible and affordable.

Brainster Math is an online after-school math program for Kindergarten to 10th grade students. Our goal is to develop math fluency for students to overcome the fear of math and become as fluent in math as their mother tongue.

We offer weekly online lessons where our trained tutors demonstrate problem-solving techniques using a whiteboard. Homework for the week continues on the same topic to help them master the topic.

Our tutors are based in the US and Canada and are graduates from top universities around the world, and they are all STEM experts, with some even holding PhDs.  Only 1% of the applicants are selected as tutors at Brainster Math, ensuring that we hire only the most competitive candidates.

We create a personalized learning plan based on your child's current grade and performance in the assessment test. Age is not a factor in determining the appropriate level for their learning journey.

Before enrolment, your child is required to take an assessment test. The result will help us place your child at the appropriate level to ensure the best learning experience. We will then guide you through the enrollment process.

The objective of the assessment test is to gain a clear picture of your child’s current math proficiency, which allows us to create a customized learning plan that aligns with their specific needs.

At Brainster Math, kids can start as young as four years old and continue their education through grade 10. Beginning early helps them build foundational skills and gain long-term advantages.

If the student is regular with their homework and attends the weekly online sessions, we anticipate each level to be completed in 4 months. 

Daily worksheets are like a daily jog for the brain. A small, consistent effort each day is more effective than long study sessions with breaks, helping students learn efficiently and make quicker progress. It also fosters good study habits and a positive attitude towards learning.

All Brainster Maths tutors are based in the US or Canada and hold at minimum an undergraduate degree in a STEM field, from engineering graduates to PhD-level mathematicians. Only 1 in 100 applicants is accepted. Your child works with the same tutor throughout, as continuity is part of how progress is built.

We offer one online lesson per week with our experienced tutors and the lesson lasts for 60 minutes.

Brainster Math runs in small groups of 4 students, not a large class and not 1:1 at a premium price. Each session is 55–60 minutes, once per week. The group format keeps the programme affordable while giving your child the interaction and feedback that solo worksheets cannot provide. We also offer private 1:1 lessons on request. There are about 3-4 students per class. Students are grouped using a combination of grade and level they are in, so it is more of a VIP math club than a chaotic carnival!

Our regular classes run on weekdays, and we have 3 slots per weekday (5:30 PM, 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM EST). You are required to give us 3 choices in the enrollment form, and we will allot 1 slot  based on the tutor availability and your child's level. 

We offer free shipping of learning materials exclusively to addresses in the US and Canada every 2 months .

Yes, completely free. No payment, no credit card required. Your child completes a short assessment, we determine their starting level, and you decide whether to enrol. No commitment beyond that first test.

We have a 4-month commitment period during which cancellations are not allowed. But once you are past that, you can cancel anytime. Just give us a one-month heads-up before your next billing date.

The fee is charged to the card on the same day of each month similar to any other subscription service like Netflix. We don't charge the 4 months' fees up front.
